Specializing in Christian symbolsPlease note: If you're here, you've
most likely come from LegacyCrests.com
since this site hasn't been up long enough to be picked up by the
search engines.
As I am just getting this site up and running, please refer
to LegacyCrests.com
for examples of my woodworking, carving, and replication
skills
(the fleur-de-lis cross below is the only thing I've got up so far).
The same techniques can be applied to crosses, fish, anchors,
trefoils, chi-rho's, etc., as well as to secular designs.

Custom-made, not CustomizedAs with LegacyCrests.com, the focus here is on your design. I do not offer a range of products from which to choose, to which you then apply your choice of woods or colors or size. Rather, if you have a drawing, or pendant, or even just an idea of something you would like to see made, you may provide me with an image (or describe it to me and let me provide you with a drawing), and your design will be reproduced in whatever woods you specify (see Aesthetic Considerations for some things to keep in mind). |
Fleur-de-lis CrossThis fleur-de-lis cross is made of birdseye maple. It is finished with two coats of boiled linseed oil and two coats of wax. It measures roughly 5 1/2" by 8 1/4" and took about 12 hours to make from start to finish. (If that makes such a small item seem too pricey, remember that up to a point a given design isn't much harder to make bigger. I would expect doubling the size of this to add only about six hours' work. And eliminating the circle would cut the time by a third.) |
